Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.  This wasn’t supposed to be released yet, but it was leaked online, so Warner’s put it up.

All I can say is, wow, this looks really dark.  Ben Affleck takes over the Batcape, while Henry Cavill is back as Superman.

The first season of Lee Pace’s AMC series Halt and Catch Fire is now on Netflix, in case you want to binge before the second season opener on May 31st.  You can also download it on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and Xbox.

forever_via_cinemablendIoan Gruffudd’s Forever on ABC is on the renewal bubble.  It kicks it in Live +7 (meaning a lot of people are DVR’ing it), and it’s a definite ratings improvement over past shows in its time slot.  Whether or not it sticks around for a second season, though, is anybody’s guess.  I personally really like this show; Gruffudd is charming and the concept of an immortal medical examiner is interesting if not totally original.  If Castle is coming to an end, which I fear it is, Forever is a good replacement.

Speaking of Castle, stars Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic have come to the end of their contracts and have not yet signed up for another season.  Fillion is working on his new Con Man project with Alan Tudyk, and Katic  has made noises that she may not be interested in coming back for an eighth season.  If there is one, it may be shortened to tie up some loose ends.

Get ready for Clone Club!  Orphan Black returns to BBC America on April 18th for its third season.  For a limited time the first two seasons are up on the website here in case you need to catch up.  They’re also available for download at various places like Amazon.

Ant-Man is not my favorite Marvel character, but I have to say the trailer looks pretty good.  I think they should check Wardrobe, though, for a missing Star-Lord helmet.

Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd, The Hobbit’s Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas.

BTW, if your webmistress seems to be MIA for a while, it’s just because I’m working on some projects.  Not fun ones, house ones.  The joys of home ownership.
